Title: Core Network Engineer – Part of Core Network Implementation Group (2010 Jan to 2012 Sep)

·         Hardware Inspection and Software Commissioning of MSOFTX3000, UMG8900.Check the hardware Installation and cabling as done by technicians.

·         Configure and load the hardware data of SGSN, MSC and MGW.

·         Configure the SIWF (Shared Inter-Working Resource) (Used for the purpose of FAX through MS).

·         Perform Manual or Automatic Trunk Test to make sure each and every E1 is working is fine.

·         Configure the MC Interface and load H.248 links between MSC and MGW. Prior to that assigning Service IP addresses to both MSC and MGW and creating SCTP links between them. Use redundant IP addresses to make sure reliability of the links.

·         Make sure that the Nb interface is ok in case there is more than 1 MGW belonging to the given MSC

·         Utile with the basics of SS7 & Protocols like MTP, SCCP, TCAP, BSSAP, RANAP, H.248, SIGTRAN, MAP, CAP, ISUP & BICC.

·         Familiar with the principles of GMSC, MSC server, Media Gateway, SGSN, GGSN,

HLR, SCTP, NMS,GTP, Diameter, MAP, CAMEL, Billing Gateway of 2G & 3G network.

·         Involved in system upgrades, expansions, health checks of the network.
